Position Overview

As a Control Technician, you will be responsible for the Facility Automation Controls Engineering functions, which includes maintaining automated controls, monitoring systems and equipment and educating staff members on them.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of support to maximize uptime on systems and equipment 
  • Consult with management and engineers regarding maintenance issues, design deficiencies and operational issues
  • Diagnose and implement corrective action for equipment problems 
  • Maintain, support and modify HMI (servers and clients) and software
  • Maintain all in house automated controls including modifications
  • Design, configuring and revision of automation controls software
  • Will diagnose and implement corrective actions for problems with equipment
  • Participation in special projects as necessary such as project scheduling, resource planning, and cost control

Qualifications

  • Degree in Automation Controls Engineering, or 3-5 years of related experience 
  • Extensive experience in support and network administration
  • Strong technical support experience with a background in multi-platform systems
  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting HMI work stations and servers
