Position Overview

As an Inventory Control Analyst, you will create and implement process improvement plans in the Inventory Control area, monitor and collect data reports for process failures, conduct cross-department interviews, analyze investigation results, create an action plan to improve the process in question, and coordinate and lead teams to implement corrective action.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory control process.
  • Responsible for publishing inventory results and communication with management regarding results.
  • Research and post receiving corrections to reduce vendor paybacks and OER’s.
  • Ensure all paperwork associated with each job function in the DC, (e.g., handbills, r-bill, PO’s, transfers, etc) is accurate and timely. Research and resolve all discrepancies noted.
  • Validate the accuracy of product transferred from facility to facility with C & S and from outside storage warehouses. Work to insure accurate and timely reconciliations occur.
  • Ensure product rotation standards are maintained. Variances to established procedures are to be elevated to warehouse management immediately.
  • Communicate with internal Customer Service, OS&D, and Warehouse teams to insure accurate inventory reporting.
  • Research and correct discrepancies and perform root cause analysis and recommend procedural changes as necessary.
  • Ensure process compliance of all inventory affecting activity.
  • Report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments and changes.
  • Compile inventory reporting to customers as needed.
  • Work with Account managers to handle vendor issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or a significant amount of related work experience may be substituted for education
  • Two or more years' experience in a fast paced, high volume warehouse environment with Inventory Control and/or warehouse operations experience
  • Advanced Computer skills; especially strong in Excel
  • Quantitative background with strong mathematical skills
  • Project management, strong written and verbal communication skills
